For Exemptions and Support in Australia can be found at From http://www.vaclib.org/exempt/australia.htm and more info from www.avn.org.au Many of my clients struggle with the choice of vaccinating their children. As the Australian Vaccination Network states; The ONLY time an exemption form is required is in relation to seeking the full government childcare and maternity allowances. You only receive them if you:- It is your choice and you do have legal rights. from Jenni Beasley. info@neuro-intelligence.com

Current Statutes & Laws: see below Medical, Religious & Philosophical
Vaccination is NOT compulsory in Australia.
Your school, in some states, may ask you to provide an "immunisation certificate" for your child's school, which certificate could include a statutory declaration that you are a conscientious objector.
a) provide records that show your child has received all the vaccines to the age of 18 months OR
'b) submit a conscientious objection form (which can be picked up from Medicare or Centrelink offices) which states that a "recognised immunisation provider has certified in writing that he or she has discussed with the adult the benefits and risks of immunising the child and the adult has declared in writing that he or she has a conscientious objection to the child being immunised"
(or if there is a medical contraindication, or if the child has developed natural immunity or a couple of other unusual circumstances).
Click here for the exact full wording of the legislation.
Note, however, that because many doctors have (illegally) refused to cooperate and sign the form, the government is willing to accept a statutory declaration (signed only by the parent and a JP witness) in lieu of a completed conscientious objection form.'
